I was so excited to be induced- mainly because I couldn’t wait any longer to meet baby Beaux! We headed in around 7:30 AM to get started with everything. Paperwork, starting my IV, etc. took a few hours and then they started me on Pitocin. My doctor came in and we talked about what I wanted to do and I decided I wanted that epidural ASAP before any contractions came!
Anesthesia came in around 11 AM for my epidural so I started getting ready! LOL. Liam’s birth I looked a mess so I was determined to look decent this time- no lake hair! Haha. I went from 5 cm to 8 to 10 pretty quickly (and pain free, thankfully) and a little after 4:30 PM I started pushing.
Beaux Forrest Adkins was born at 4:59 PM weighing 8 lbs 1 oz and 19 (later corrected to 21) inches long!
