1. WATER

Not only is drinking lots of water SUPER healthy for your body- it will do wonders for your skin! I know I have talked about this before but I truly see a difference if I stop drinking as much water- my face immediately tries to compensate by becoming oilier! I usually try to AT MINIMUM drink 64 ounces a day! In the Summer, it’s definitely easier when it’s super hot. If you have a hard time drinking lots of water- I recommend adding a TINY bit of juice. I also kind of make it a game with this fun water bottle!

2. NEVER SLEEP IN YOUR MAKEUP

I used to be SO BAD about this. Then I noticed one of the few times I would breakout would be right after falling asleep in a full face of makeup or when I would only use a makeup wipe right before bed. I would pay for it for the next week as my skin tried to recover lol! So no matter how tired I am- I ALWAYS wash my face and take off my makeup before hitting the sac! You can find my full skincare routine here!

3. USE A SILK PILLOWCASE

Speaking of hitting the sac- you need a new pillowcase! Especially if you have sensitive skin! Ditch that rough, cotton cover and invest in a silk one ( or at least satin). It helps retain the moisture in your skin and reduce abrasion – also- did I mention it’s good for your hair too?!

4. MICROFIBER TOWEL

This is something I just recently started doing. I had heard about it before and was using an old t shirt on my face and hair but then I stumbled upon some options on Amazon that are actual towels! Lol. Same concept as the pillowcase- you want to be using something soft on those sensitive areas!

4. DERMAPLANING

This has completely changed my skin and the way my makeup sits on my face. It basically just resurfaces your face and removes all the dead skin and hair! I understand that this option may not be super affordable to everyone- however I definitely think that it’s worth it. The place I normally go charges $50 for one session. I try to go 2x a month- with Covid that’s been a little harder but you could definitely stretch it out to 1x a month! Remember- you only get one set of skin so be sure to take care of it!
