How I Edit My Photos

Thursday, March 26, 2020

Today I am going to share with you all how I edit all of my Instagram and blog photos! If you missed the IGTV- I’ll link it here so you can watch!

OUTFIT DETAILS

CAMERA

I shot everything with my Canon SL2. Occasionally I’ll slide in an I-phone pic but the way my preset is the quality just isn’t the same for me so the lighting has to be perfect or it looks super pixelated and that’s just one of my pet peeves. It’s a pretty easy camera to use if you have some basic knowledge of photography- a lot of which I’ve learned from Youtube/Google. But basically all parts of this are just playing around with lighting and figuring out what you like the best!

LENS

Right now I shoot with my 35mm Canon Lens daily! If I am taking close up shots of jewlery/shoes/etc I use a 50 mm lens!

TRIPODS

I had been using an Amazon tripod- when my lens broke 🙁 so I spent like $20 more and got a nicer, sturdier tripod so that hopefully won’t happen again! It still folds up super small. I’ll link it here. It works with most cameras!

APPS

I have Lightroom on my computer. It’s quite an investment unless you’re a student but it is 100% worth it! It’s how I created my preset that I use on most of my photos. But presets are hard- depending on lighting, a preset could look totally different on each photo. So there is always some tweaking to do to get it how you want it!

I hope you all enjoyed seeing how I edit my photos! If you all are interested in my presets, comment below and tell me- and let me know what device you normally take your pictures on!
