I have ALWAYS  had the hardest time finding jeans that fit me- even before I had Liam! I am only 5’2″ so jeans were always long on me- the waists hit weird, and they weren’t fitting in the right places. Now, after having a baby, it’s even harder! Your body just changes shape and you can’t always go back to wearing the same sizes. The biggest problem I run into today is the booty to leg to waist ratio. A size 8 may fit my legs and booty, but the waist can sometimes be too loose. So today I am going to try and help you all find the perfect jeans for YOUR body!
LENGTH
This one is probably the easiest to tackle nowadays. MOST brands have short, tall, regular sizes, which make it super easy to find the right one for you! I always used to cuff my jeans- I never worried about the length of them, until I realized on most short jeans, the shorten the “waist to middle seam (crotch area)” on them too! Which makes them fit SO MUCH BETTER. Some brands do run shorter- so usually when I try on jeans I’ll grab a short/petite AND regular to try on just to compare. EVERY BRAND AND EVERY STYLE IS DIFFERENT. Don’t focus on the number- focus on the fit. You may be a 8 in J Crew and a 4 in Target jeans. They are all over the places these days so always try on, or if you’re ordering online, order 2 sizes to compare! (I usually have to do that lol!).
HIP TO THIGH

Another problem I have is my hips being smaller than my thighs- who knew it’s not just a straight line right there! Lol. So some jeans fit me weird there leaving a gap or scrunching of extra material. It doesn’t happen often- ya know, just when I find a really cute pair of jeans on sale. LOL. Usually it means they’re a little too big. If they’re super stretchy- you definitely want to size down because odds are they will stretch out a little as you wear them. After you wash them they should shrink back up and fit perfect!

HIGH WAISTED

I have a love/hate relationship with this style ha! They’re great for postpartum or to wear with crop tops -okay, and yeah, they look really cute too! However sometimes I have a problem finding ones that fit my legs AND my waist. They’re usually too loose around the top band- and that isn’t cute! Again if you’re shorter and there is a petite or short version available- it -usually- fixes this problem- so don’t give up, just try on another size!
MY PETITE/SHORT GIRL FAVORITES

Target: They have some of the BEST deals on jeans and they’re a great fit! Especially the Universal Thread ones!
Paige: These are really pricey, however, they’re probably the best jeans I have ever owned. Super comfy and stretchy and the perfect length for petite girls!
TopShop: They make most of their jeans in petite and short sizes-the best! They have super cute and unique styles too!
