First and foremost thank you all so much for all of the love! We are super excited to welcome another baby into the family in a few short months! Navigating this whole deal with COVID has been a struggle and really different for us compared to last time (also because we have Liam this go around as well)! So here is a first trimester recap!
I’m going to try and answer as many of the questions as I can here so I don’t blow up stories! There has been a lot going on these past few months! Haha. But of course if I miss something feel free to DM me!
Where you trying?/How long did it take you to get pregnant?
This one is a little tricky just because every couple is different. I went to the doctor shortly after we got back from getting married in Destin just to get checked out and established with an OB in Knoxville. She told me that it takes some people a year or more to get pregnant-which was super surprising to me- I didn’t realize it could take that long. This was the first baby we were “trying” with so I had no idea what to expect. 2 weeks later I had a positive pregnancy test!
Apps/Fertility/and more. . .
I used the app “Flo” to track my periods so I knew when I was ovulating. The timing of everything just kind of worked out and went a lot quicker than I was expecting- I mean the doctor told me it could take a year! That was the easiest thing to use- my doctor also suggested ovulation strips (they are located right next to pregnancy tests and look identical) but we didn’t even get the chance to use them! I won’t even try and give you tips- I’m no expert- so if you’re experiencing trouble, speak to a doctor!
How far along are you?
I am 12 weeks! So we have quite a bit left to go. I found out at 1 week so I feel like this is dragging on forever lol! I didn’t even find out with Liam until I was about 9 weeks!
Do you know what you’re having?
Yes we do! I hope to have a gender reveal in December! I couldn’t keep the secret last time so we didn’t have a gender reveal but I’m excited to do it this time for our family and friends!
What are you hoping for?
I’ll still answer this so that it won’t spoil anything! Lol. Caleb wants a boy- of course and I want a girl!
Do you have names picked out?
We have both names picked out for a boy or a girl! We won’t be sharing those for a long while- may even keep them a secret- we will see!
What does Liam think?
Well… unfortunately we haven’t been able to include him in appointments and such because of COVID. Which really makes me upset- I never want him to feel left out or less loved- and this makes it very hard for me. We did teach him “baby” but I don’t think he has any idea what’s going on to be honest! Haha.
How many total do you want?
I want at least one of each- depending on how this one sleeps, I’ll consider more lol. Liam was and still is an awful sleeper!
