LIKEtoKNOW.it. . . So many people- both bloggers and non bloggers alike have so many questions about LIKEtoKNOW.it! What is it? How does it work? How can I get accepted? Do you make money off of it? Well today, I’m spilling all the deets! I think it’s super important to be transparent with you all on how this whole thing works- not just with LIKEtoKNOW.it but blogging as a whole. Yes bloggers make money off social media. No it’s not necessarily a ton, but me personally, I enjoy it so it’s NBD that right now it’s a few dollars here and there.
What is LIKEtoKNOW.it? LIKEtoKNOW.it and rewardStyle are two companies that are intertwined to bring services to both bloggers and those who like to shop from them! LIKEtoKNOW.it is the app that is used to link all the outfits and products that make it easy for you to shop from. RewardStyle is the affiliate company that we receive payment through- they also connect bloggers with brands and make it easy for them to form a relationship and get paid. The app is absolutely FREE. It makes it so easy to shop anyone who is a part of the program’s outfit- right at your fingertips. You can download it HERE.
How does it work? When I take a picture- I use the rewardStyle app to link all the products in my picture that I want to. They work with most brands (not all brands are shoppable) so it’s easy to link pretty much anything for you all. Once it’s uploaded and ready to go, anyone can screenshot my picture and open up the LIKEtoKNOW.it app to shop any of my outfit details! It’s SO EASY.
How much do you make off LIKEtoKNOW.it? Well it depends. I think the highest commission I’ve seen is 15%. But most brands offer 7-10%. Since most of my items are under $50, it’s a very minute amount- but one that I am SO grateful for. So it really does mean the world for me when you all shop my links!
How can I make sure you are getting credit? So whoever’s link you click LAST is who is getting credit. So if you’ve been shopping a bunch of different bloggers looks and adding them to your cart- whenever you go to checkout- whoever the last persons link you went through is who gets credit! No one gets credit through apps. For example if you are shopping through the LIKEtoKNOW.it and when you click on an item it takes you to the Target or Amazon app, no one gets credit for that sale- not sure why, but that’s how it is!
If I’m a blogger and I want to be on LIKEtoKNOW.it what are some tips that can get me accepted? Stay. Consistent. Post everyday (or as much as humanly possible) but also make sure you’re producing high quality photos as well. LIKEtoKNOW.it likes to see a clean, crisp theme or a branding or some sort of cohesive theme across your feed and blog. If you’re not already linking products on blog to shop your outfits – without LIKEtoKNOW.it- start doing that now!
Get someone to refer you. Know someone already on LIKEtoKNOW.it? Ask them to look over tour feed and blog and see if there’s anything you could do better. If they think it looks good, you can ask them to refer you on LTK and that could help you get accepted.
Don’t get discouraged if you don’t get accepted the first time. I got declined the first time and they told me what I could do better and then I got accepted!
Other ways bloggers can make money, etc:
#ad or #sponsored posts – When I post a sponsored or paid post I always tag it with #ad or #sponsored. This means a brand has paid me to post this but ALL MY OPINIONS ARE MY OWN. I only respond to brands that I think are a good fit or I actually enjoy. Most of them offer for you to try the product and then agree to do the post. There are about 5 brands that I have tried so far and NOT posted about because I didn’t like them or I didn’t think it was something that fits in with what I like or use! I always try new things so I can share stuff that’s up and coming with you all or just something I’ve never tried before!
